Soooo....you asked for it and here it is! This week’s post was actually supposed to be about school supplies, but I felt it was a bit too early for that. (I don’t know I guess that was just me) Anyways, I took to Instagram asking wether a blog post about school supplies or movies/Netflix was better. And here we are! So today’s a little different, since it’s Saturday and not Friday, so I wanted to keep this introduction a little bit more brief. Yup...that’s it it! Ok, enough talking for now and let’s get right into these great summer movies to watch on ,our favorite thing ever, NETFLIX. Here we go.......... 1. To all the boys i’ve loved beforeSUMMARY: Lara Jean, a high-school junior who write private letters to her crushes because she's too shy to approach them. Also, her crushes include her sister's boyfriend Josh (Israel Broussard) and the most popular boy in school, Peter (Noah Centineo). But then the letters mysteriously get sent to their recipients and all adorable Hell breaks loose. REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So this movie’s not out yet...and you’re probably asking yourself why I’m doing a review on something I haven’t watched yet. Simple, I’ve read the book and from the trailer itself...I’m hooked. The only reason I haven’t given this movie 5 stars is because...well I haven’t watched it yet. I know, you probably hate me because this is just a tease, but hang around a little while and I promise you will love the movie and I’m sure I will too! Until then 4 stars....as we await it’s release. RELEASE DATE: August 17, 2018 UPDATE: 1/12/19 Hey there! Future Tarah here! Just wanted to stop by and review the movie. It has blown up since my initial review and I’m sure many of you have already watched it as well. So, it should come as no surprise when I say this movie was worth the watch! It has now officially earned the rating of 5 STARS. Since its initial release this movie has received a LOT of hype. And it definitely deserves it! It was heart-warming and adorable! LOVED IT! Go watch if you haven’t already! 2. The duffSUMMARY: High School senior Bianca (Mae Whitman) has a rude awakening when she learns that her classmates secretly know her as the DUFF -- designated ugly fat friend -- to her prettier and more popular pals. Desperate to reinvent herself, Bianca enlists the aid of Wesley (Robbie Amell), a charming jock. In order to save her senior year from becoming a complete disaster, Bianca must find the confidence to overthrow a judgmental student (Bella Thorne) and revolutionize the school's social order. REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars means something right? Yeah...it DEFINITELY means that this movie is bomb. It was so fun to watch! Don’t want to spoil anything, but it was very heartwarming, funny, and a little overdramatic at times, all of which made it so amazing! It taught me that we all have a DUFF and if you don’t it’s probably you...lol 😂. But most importantly this movie urges us to fight the social order of high school status and be ourselves! What is there to lose?! No question about it, you should watch this! RELEASE DATE: Already released! 3. F the promSUMMARY: Maddy and Cole were inseparable friends until high school started and Maddy became the most popular girl on campus. When Maddy finds herself suddenly single and heartbroken, she reconnects with Cole and the duo conspire to destroy the prom. REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ok..I know...so 3 stars looks bad, but let me explain. First and foremost this movie was great, but who willingly wants to destroy the prom...why?! ( *sobs dramatically). That’s it but all in all it was fun to watch...a great way to kill off time if you have too much on your hands. I think this movie did a great job not only emphasizing how high school social hierarchy is an intangible and disingenuous pedestal that is attainable only through lies and deceit, but also attempting to redefine “popularity” in a new light. However, I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the ending. Honestly, the ending alone cost this movie 2 stars. Definitely give it a watch though! RELEASE DATE: Already out! 4. The Last songSUMMARY: Unruly New York teen Ronnie Miller is angered to learn that she and younger brother Jonah are being sent to stay with their father for the summer. The talented young pianist is already grappling with her mother over her refusal to attend the prestigious Juilliard music school, and is in no mood to spend the holidays away from her friends in a small Southern beach town. REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ok..5 stars again, aren’t I feeling generous today! But honestly this movie deserves just that and maybe more. It was actually released around 2011, which sounds like a great deal ago, but I didn’t know about it until last year, which is a shocker. This story turns on a romance. But The Last Song is as much about family and forgiveness as it is about teen romance and social interaction. It illustrates how divorce wreaks havoc on the children affected by it. But this was such a heartwarming film! RELEASE DATE: Already out! 5. Sorority warsSUMMARY: Two childhood friends are so inseparable that they even decide to go to the same college, but they quickly become enemies when they join rival sororities. REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ok..5 stars once again! This movie from 2009 talks about the struggle to maintain friendships. It also stresses the effects that legacies have on families and how what parents expect of their children directly affects the decisions they make in life. Fantastic rivalry! Enough talking...just go watch it! RELEASE DATE: Already out! 6. 13 Going on 30SUMMARY: A girl who's sick of the social strictures of junior high is transformed into a grownup overnight. In this feel-good fairy tale, teenager Jenna (Christa B. Allen) wants a boyfriend, and when she's unable to find one, she fantasizes about being a well-adjusted adult. Suddenly, her secret desire becomes a reality, and she is transformed into a 30-year-old (Jennifer Garner). But adulthood, with its own set of male-female challenges, isn't as easy as it looks. REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 starts because it’s great! This movie offers some bright moments and nicely understated humor, despite all the expected collisions between the lives of the 13- and 30-year-old RELEASE DATE: Already out! that was it...glad I could give you an excuse to go on NETFLIX.
Hope u enjoyed these movies like I did. Always smile and always beyoutiful,
