HEY GUYS! It’s been a while hasn’t it? Yeah, I know. I know. I said I would post every week in my last post and I’ve been MIA for the past two weeks. No posts. Nothing. And worst of all I’ve left my readers alone and confused. (which may be a teeny tiny exaggeration...but you get the point) But, I promise I can explain. It has been a frustrating 2 weeks, to tell you the truth....and I wasn’t in the right state of mind to write. I was also in a rut (like I usually am) and feeling plain-old sick (headache, cold, runny nose, you name it....I had it). And somehow, I managed to escape my cold’s unruly grasp (and never once caught the flu) and WE ARE BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER. But back to the post.... Here are some sure fire tips to get back on track and get your life together! Because, quite frankly, becoming a purpose-driven young adult never gets old. I now present...GYST episode 3 ladies and gentlemen! Last episode we discussed the 4 mistakes that you should avoid when GYSTING, in this episode we’ll go over the 4 time management skills you need that’ll help you avoid those same mistakes. The self assessmentAsk yourself...Are you constantly procrastinating? Have you felt like you have more than you can chew? Is it hard to complete everyday tasks? Have you been neglecting your personal tasks? Do you ever feel like you never have enough time? And then feel guilty for not completing everything you set out to do? Then wake up the next morning to do it all over again? It’s a cycle, isn’t it? Yup, that’s what it is. Its a soul wrecking, time-wasting, mentally draining, and unproductive cycle of procrastination. And.....I hate to say this, but this 100% shows that you have TIME MANAGEMENT problems or you’re a master procrastinator. What many of you may find shocking is that I too am a professional procrastinator. WHAT?! Am I to taint my reputation by confessing that I am a procrastinator. Yes, I will! Because sometimes...we all do it. In this post I will discuss the mindset changes and skills you need to make better use of the 1440 minutes in your day (yes, that’s a fact), which I too will be implementing in my life. First off, before we begin, we must understand the basic principle that we can never truly manage time. We must acknowledge that if we don’t start NOW, the assignment to be completed will never be done. It will remain just that, an assignment that still has to get done. Simply put, time goes on no matter what, it is not contingent on human activity. What we can do, however, is engage in self management, managing yourself and what you must do, to use the time that you have (or lack thereof) effectively. The thief of time: procrastination
4 Methods to do so
How to use little pockets of time for better self management While you’re
Try this instead
Some questions you can ask yourself to boost self management
No, seriously....aren’t you supposed to be doing something right now? Then....go go go! Seize the day! Now that you have retired your job as a master procrastinator and have assumed the new position of master self manager, tell me all about it! Have you been a little more productive? Have these tips helped you in the way that you see the time we have each day? Are you using little pockets of time a little more effectively? Tell me all about it in the comments below! And in the mean time, I’ll carry on studying for my midterms next week! Yikes... but until then I’ll be... always smiling and beyoutiful, Shoutout to Willow...thx for always commenting and DMing me on insta to remind me to post LOL!
