Dear Summer,
Our love has come to an abrupt end as the stale winds of fall begin to taunt us.
The time has come for you to leave me and I will forever cherish your all-nighters, lazy days, crazy rides, camp fires, road trips, loud music, golden beaches, and endless laughter, all of which have been nothing short of fun. What we have can never be forgotten, but rather it must be cherished in these troubling times when hard work awaits us all. I've spent my nights awake thinking about the way I used to run around with careless freedom. I never thought I'd be the one to say this, but I don't know what to do now that you're almost gone. So please go slow (although that's a little too late now) ! There comes a time when we must accept the inevitable future. So here's to all that you are: a time of blissful smiles. And...there's an elephant in the room: school. And he is planning his "low and slow" attack into our lives. With him comes the endless responsibilities he carries on his back. He gives us his baggage in an effort to test our determination and tenacity. He carefully peers at us and follows our path, whether it be to success or failure. All I ask of you summer is that when school sends us on this cumbersome odyssey please be there to guide us and remind us of the fun times that await once we've completed all our toil and labor. And when it almost seems that there's no hope fill us with laughter at the sudden thought of your return. And most importantly.....please come back SOON! Summer we've had fun, real fun!!! And now that you're almost gone I'm gonna miss you like crazy. Thank you for everything really, au revoir, and until we meet again! In memory of you...here are a few quotes about you and my end of summer playlist! Sincerely, Every High Schooler Ever! Wow you finished?! ALREADY?! I know you're probably wondering what the purpose of this was...and to answer honestly...I thought that an open letter to two inanimate things (summer and school) would be fun. One of the main reasons behind this is that personification is one of my favorite things in poetry and in this letter I had lots of fun with it! I hoped you enjoyed my amazing wit and humor......if not..well idk what to say. Another thing-my grammar isn't perfect sooooooo...yeah! DONT FORGET TO LISTEN TO SOME END OF SUMMER JAMS BELOW AND LAUGH (or not) AT THESE RELATABLE QUOTES! Always smile and always beyoutiful,
